Olde Thompson Columbia Copper Pepper Mill & Salt Shaker Set

I saw these salt shakers in a very expensive steak restaurant in New Jersey, they look expensive on common highly polished and just plain looked cool to me so I ordered them. I absolutely love them. People come over and tell me wow those salt and pepper shakers are cool. Lol true though

GOOD FOR HOME DECOR

Great salt and pepper shakers! They are not metal but that was exactly what I wanted for our breakfast table. A real copper would obviously tarnish, and I did not want to polish more copper. Plus we have 2 toddlers and I wasn't willing to purchase the $100 real copper grinders that my toddlers would destroy within 2 days. These are perfect...not too big, not too small. They look like real copper, even when you are sitting 6 inches away from them. Very happy with my purchase!

Pretty good salt and pepper shakers for the money. The pepper grinder does not grind as fine as what I like but still a good set for the money.

I have a brass and copper kitchen, and I keep these sitting next to the stove for "every day". These are a great when you don't what to go with the really fancy ones. They are coated with a plastic-like finish so they do not tarnish like solid copper ones - not even sure if they are really copper underneath but the color is a good match, and the linings are a silicon-like plastic so no worries about corrosion. The grinder is stainless steel I think and has held up very well. I've had a set for 10 years and they still look new, just bought another set for the kitchen table. Easy to clean, and they match my copper pearl KitchenAid mixer. The salt is not a grinder, but a shaker.

The product description is ambiguous at best (yes, copper is both a color and a metal).I fell in love with a true copper the metal version of these at a restaurant and googled Olde Thompson to find them for purchase. The Olde Thompson site takes you directly to Amazon when you click on the product on their site, with no description of the product on the OT site.If you are happy with copper-colored plastic, this might be the product for you. I don't know anything about how they wear or work, as I am returning them unused. I can say that they don't feel heavy in my hand as the metal ones at the restaurant did (though filling them up would make some difference to that).If you are looking for a set made from copper the metal, you will have to keep shopping.

I love them! They are the perfect size and so pretty!
