I am not a fan of most LED Christmas lights. To me, the warm and cool white colors just look fake and cold. The multi-color LEDs are usually very vivid but almost all have a noticeable flicker or are way too bright with uneven intensity. I've found that the battery-operated LED sets (usually run at 4.5 to 6 volts) do not flicker. So I was anxious to try these (which run at USB 5 volts).We have a winner. There is almost no perceptible flicker, the four colors (red, blue, green, and gold) are very good, and light intensity is dialed back to a nice soft level, close to a conventional incandescent miniature bulb. In appearance, the set is very close to incandescent. This set has nice lamp spacing (about 3 inches) for a very long total length of about 74 feet.Since they run at 5 volts, they are made with the thinner wire that mini set used to be made from before 1997. The wire is extremely flexible though it has an odd gasoline-like smell which eventually dissipated. It's also an odd very dark green, almost black. Not like any Christmas lights you've ever seen. But not a deal breaker.I also do not like the multi-function USB plug which has a button you press to scroll through the 8 electronic flash settings. I don't like the hyperactive flashing modes and plan to only use the steady on setting or perhaps the fade setting. The setting clears every time you unplug the set, so using multiple sets on a tree would be a problem - you'd have to find the plug on each string and scroll through the settings to find the one you like.These are not UL rated. Since the set runs at 5 volts wired in parallel, the only real safety issue is the USB adapter plug which drops either 240 or 120 volts down to 5. The LED lamps appear to be well attached to the string, and the three-wire string is fairly tightly and neatly wound.Overall, these are the best line-powered LED sets I've seen. GE just came out with an even smaller "micro" concave LED string this year but they burn way too bright - those run off a 24 volt adapter. And they cost about twice what this set cost, with fewer lamps.

I am really happy with these little lights. I plan to use them indoors this winter around the windows of our morning room.I checked the string of lights in all modes and they work perfect. I thikk the twinkle of these lights is just what I need to keep winter blues away.I really love that they are USB powered. They are a nice warm white color. My favorite mode is the slow-fade.The cord is dark and would blend into Christmas greenery well. However, they will stand out more on my wall than a lighter cord would.

I think this was a great amount of lights for the price. They were adequate for my 6 foot tree, but I do have some colored big globe lights on it as well. I wanted these for the twinkle. It shifts from a slow to fast twinkle then back again. I envisioned a steady pace, but this doesn't bother me, and there are plenty other options to choose from. I just plug them into the wall with an extra cheap little USB phone charger I have, and they work great. They fit my purposes well, and I'd buy them again.

I like the lights being bright and works well on the golf cart.. It has a usb connector that works well with the connection on the cart.

Not a very strong light, but acceptable

Love these lights! Put them on my golf cart to drive around my active senior community at Christmas and New Year's. They are USB plug-in so perfect for what I needed for my golf cart.

Bought these to decorate the office with (can't plug things in to outlets). They are awesome! Really bright, tons of length, thick wires. Great lights for a great price!

Cute little party lights. I have them wrapped around a fall wreath and they look darling.
