Wife left our old one outside for 2 years. It had enough and died. I suspect the electrode rods degraded.Anyway - she asked if I could FIX the old one. Sure, I thought. Popped the old one open and saw:Photocell, Galvanic electrodes, switch, standard meter movement connected to the switch.Best way to fix the corroded old one? BUY A NEW ONE - For $8 - just NOT worth futzing with the dead one.This one arrived, pristine, Exactly the SAME as the old one. Works Perfectly. Just like the old one.Wife is happy, I'm happy, END of Story.

Simple, works well
It is used for moisture testing and works well-simple and needs no battery. Regarding the ph function, I have no way of verifying its accuracy and do not use it for this purpose. My only suggestion to to make the meter readable when standing, now you have to get down to its level when plants are on the ground, uncomfortable. The meter could be larger for us old timersđŸ¤“.

Very disappointed.
The product did not change readings from one type of soil to the next. Did not work at all. Very disappointed.

Works well! It’ll definitely get you through but not SUPER accurate!

pH reading is always the same
I am not sure that the pH readings work. I always read the same value no matter what I measure.

Works Well
Works as advertised. Seems pretty accurate as long as you put the metal prongs at least half way in the soil.
