So, I fully intend to keep this thing for a long time and use it for the odd job around the house. For that, this caliper is perfect. Measures far more precisely than I'll ever need.However, I actually bought this thing to measure my guitar strings. I had it set up over a year ago and the strings needed changed, but I had no idea which gauge they were and the setup is still great, so I wanted to get the same gauge strings to keep the setup intact. So I bought this, measured the strings. Exactly 0.010 on the high E and exactly 0.46 on the low E. Satisfied with my purchase. Other things I liked. 1. Comes with 2 spare batteries and a screwdriver to access to the battery panel. 2. Comes with a cheap, but functional plastic case, which I appreciate. 3. The instructions and buttons are clearly labeled and easy to read. In all, unless you need this for professional work, this is about as good as it gets. Weighty, feels good, works well, and it shined for the one thing I've used it for so far. Long term durability will be seen over time.

I really enjoy this tool immensely! I do automotive mechanical work (not machining) and these are Great! I'm certain they are not the most precise or accurate calipers available but I just don't need accuracy and precision to the 10,000th in my work. I used to work in a machine shop and I used high end Japanese calipers. Like an idiot, I sold them when I left the shop. The cost to replace them now is prohibitive. I did a lot of research and was ready to spend $200 on a decent tool but this was getting so many positive reviews that I decided to try them. After all, they are very inexpensive and if I didn't like them, I wasn't going to be out much. The biggest complaint I read about in the reviews that gave me concern was that they supposedly turn on by themselves in the case and run the battery down. I have not experienced that and I believe it is because of handling. This tool is very quick to turn on when opened to measure. I suspect that some folks handle them in such a way that the caliper moves after it is turned off. I close it completely by pinching the jaws together with one hand and use the other hand to turn it off. Then I carefully put it into its case and gently put the case in my tool box.Unless you are doing serious machine work or working on airplanes, I believe these will serve you well.

Great Caliper with a durable case. I use the caliper to check image registration on paper that runs through printers. The measurements are accurate in inches or millimeters. The construction is durable and not easily bendable. Easy to use and reliable. Battery will last a long time. There is smooth movement when using the positioning wheel to expand the caliper. Great product for the money. Easy to read display and easy use.

I bought Jiavarry & Kynup both on sale. Jiavarry was $4 dollars less. I am not a machinest and I don't require the best. I checked both tools against some hex keys and found they appear to be accurate. Both cases have play (about the same amount). Both have some heft and seem well made, the cases are okay. I'll keep both and update if I find issues or experience failure on either. Both come with 2 spare batteries, both have a locking screw on the back of the ruler that may need to be loosened. No real advantages at this time one over the other, the kynup uses cr2032 battery that I expect to last longer and is more commonly used/found.Replacing inexpensive plastic unit that failed primarily due to a plastic slide cover. I hope this helps someone out there.

This is the best pair of calipers I've ever owned!!! it slides so nicely along the rail, and measures accurately. The zero feature is nice for my 3D prints, i can easily see the margin of error with little effort. overall good purchase for the price. Extra battery included!!!

Received as represented and is value received. The function and accuracy is found and verified to be exact. Nice to find spare batteries included. Good product for price point and prior reviews prompted attention to turning off and placing in storage case. (On/off button needs to be free from any thing pressing after lid closed; such as instruction pamphlet etc)

Great calipers. Very sturdy and hefty. Rolls smooth and is accurate. Display size is nice too.
