Lucky - Dream Champion [DVD]

Bought this for an indulgent escapism for an afternoon but very disappointed. Most unlikely plot with various inaccuracies - for example, at the beginning, the wife's new husband's generosity is acknowledged when he agrees to pay to have the girl's horse transported but at the end, he leaves her because he realises she's not rich. The girl (who in spite of her mother's inability to pay for this, has been to finishing school) is extremely rude, even given her unfortunate circumstances. The horse is such a plodder, most children will realise that it's not right for the part. Sorry, but can't recommend this film. Gave it 2 stars only because I did see it through to the end and at least there were no substitutes (at least, until the very end, when a real turn of speed is required).

First I have to point out that the film's trailer (if you see it on other DVDs) states that the title is "Lucky Lad - Dream Champion" and NOT "Lucky - Dream Champion" as per the DVDs cover!!! Otherwise, it's a great all-round Family film, good storyline, good acting & well filmed - I highly recommend this film.

Good story easy to follow

Enjoyed watching this, a film the whole family can watch. Good story, that is easy to follow.
