Just Imagine

I’m very disappointed with this purchase. It’s a reprint of another You Choose - presumably to fall in line with the branding. This wasn’t evident when it first popped up on my recommended items although clearly there have been some complaints as Amazon have changed the product description in the intervening period. There’s nothing wrong with the book or the contents. I’m just annoyed that when this was up for preorder, they didn’t show that it was in fact a reprint.

This is not as good as You Choose. That book actually invited you and your child to pick things from the pages, whereas this is really just some pictures of stuff with the idea being "Imagine you were here". It seems a small point, but it's actually pretty big. This book just isn't that interactive and isn't much fun as a result. It doesn't invite you to be part of a story you create, it just says "look at this".I will try "You Choose In Space" next.

Ordered this because based on the title and description I thought my 6 year daughter would love it - as she has such a big imagination. Unfortunately this is not a book you can read together with your child and choose different stories/endings...It’s just a series of pictures showing different scenarios. There is no description/ instructions so I’m not even sure how you should use it unless you just look at the pictures together... so that’s nothing special! I will be returning the item.

Who doesn't love 'Just Imagine'? Even my thirteen year old students with challenging behaviour love talking through this book with their mates in my classroom in a Pupil Referral Unit. My own kids (aged six and nine) still base whole imaginary play sessions or drawing activities on it, and my nephews (aged two and five) will love this edition.

If you have already bought Just Imagine you’ll be very disappointed as it’s a reprint of the same book. I have just seen that it says this in the description but I missed it before preordering. In fact, I’m highly suspicious that this wasn’t a part of the description when I preordered. It’s not the type of thing I would normally miss. Anyways, there you go, if you don’t have “just imagine” it’s good, but I feel a bit cheated to be honest!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series of books. It's fab for getting the children talking. We've read this volume time and time again and get something new out of it every time. I've given 4 stars because personally I don't think this volume is *quite* as good as the first "You Choose" for range of topics etc it inspires, but this is a very high scoring 4 - and my daughter loves it

We love You choose in our house so finding this book on Amazon was a no brainer. Maybe my children have grown up too much to really appreciate it now but it didn't keep my children as captivated as You Choose did. Still worth 4 stars though as there are still lots of occasions when we pick it up. It is a good conversation starter for sure.

Absolutely fallen in love with these books. We bought all three and my 2 year old spends so long going through each page. Also helps with grown up story telling and kicking your imagination into gear! It’s fun picking out what all the family would choose and the illustrations are so much fun! Highly recommend!

This, and the yellow, You Choose book, are in all honesty the best books for kids I have ever purchased or seen. I am writing this review nearly 6 years after buying them and my kids are STILL reading them and coming up with new ideas and having fun and laughing an truly using their imagination. My copy is already totally battered but we still love it!It is full of pictures and situations that feed the kids hundreds of ideas about life, situations, magic, fairy tales, machines, and they thrive on it! Absolute recommendation!

My 6 year old daughter loves this. After reading you choose every single night for a year I decided to get this. I found this one is more of a conversation starter and seems it won't get old as quickly as you choose did. She loves it!

Está muy imaginativo y me parece muy bueno para pararse y pensar e imaginar...Es una forma muy agradable incluso para los adultos pero imagino que para un niño, sería muy divertido.

Es uno de los libros que más nos dura con mi hija. Llevamos leyéndolo más de 2 años y no se cansa.

Le but de ce livre est de développer l'imagination des petits à travers une phrase qui nous demande d'imaginer une situation et des images très différentes qui permettent d'en parler. Le concept est idéal pour faire parler un enfant et pour développer son esprit créatif. Après, je le trouve moins bien que "You Choose" (des mêmes auteurs) parce qu'ici ce ne sont pas toujours des questions qui sont posées (contrairement à l'autre) et donc cela ne pousse pas à la communication. On nous dit "imagine flying in the sky". En m'essayant à l'exercice, je n'ai pas forcément grand chose à dire (contrairement à l'autre). Après, pour un francophone, c'est peut être pas plus mal dans la mesure où la tournure est facilement compréhensible. Ce livre n'en demeure pas moins très bien et je le recommande.

Está bien en cuanto a ilustración, trae muchas. Pero para mi gusto es un libro grande de tamaño para manejar niños pequeños.

this is not a story book. it is just a book with pages of illustrations. great colorful illustrations but this is not what i want.

Es un libro pensado para niños mayores, que sepan leer, porque se trata de imaginarte en distintas situaciones muchas de ellas irreales ( y si fueras muy grande? O muy pequeño? ) tiene muchos dibujos, fomenta la imaginación. Da mucho juego.

Mi hija pequeña disfruta mucho de las ilustraciones. Al ser tan visual, no necesita saber leer aún para poder disfrutarlo. recomendable

I ordered this because my kids loved the first book. This one is set up slightly differently and the kids are not as engaged. Quick delivery.

Definitely not as fun or thought provoking as You Choose, but was still fun to go through with my three year old!
