Yes, this case adds quite a bit of thickness around the inhaler. I use mine in a travel kit and a much thinner case I made myself for pocket carrying.

Q: Will this protect my inhaler from a accidental washer machine cycle and maybe dryer?

This case is not waterproof, nor will it protect your inhaler from the high heat inside a clothes dryer. Since most inhalers are pressurized (like spray paint cans), there is a chance they will rupture (explode) when exposed to heat.
