great for making cat climbing areas more safe, thin but super durable, sticks well
Giving these a full 5 star rating because they have been working wonderfully for my purpose and beyond.I didn't want to spend much. I was looking for something to provide traction on a smooth large smooth shelf that is for my cats. The shelf runs from one end of a sunroom to another. There are other shelves like it, but those are carpeted. This happened to not have been carpeted because of some decorative dividers. So I figured on finding some carpet pieces I could attach, or stair runner or something. When I came across this, I figured the function will be served and I would not have spent much. I really just needed three pieces, so you can see why I didnt want to invest much as there would be a lot left over. These are felt like. They are thin. They are very basic. But they are perfect if you dont need anything fancy. I applied three of these to each section of this long shelf. The pieces have adequate stickiness and I was immediately impressed by how well they attached to the shelf. Kitties then tried it out and have been able to run back and forth without slipping.Well, then I looked at where else I could use these. In this sunroom-- which is totally outfitted for the enjoyment of my cats-- has a side board/credenza that is up against a window. This is a frequent landing spot from going up and down the climbers and shelves. It is a smooth painted surface. While no one has slipped, I figured there was no reason for me not to stick some of these treads on to provide them better grip-- and even comfort when they are just sitting on it looking out a window. I was able to use two of these, and since the material is real thin (but durable), it doesn't look weird. After that, I looked at the short set of stairs (4 steps not including landings) going up from the sunroom into our family room. Again, a painted smooth set of wood stairs. I had enough to put one of these on each stair. Now cats have added traction as well as myself and two labs (there is a side door from this sunroom leading out side that we sometimes use).THEN, with a few left over my husband suggested I put some at our back door (when we come in there is a small, short set of stairs-3 steps, not including landings) for our one lab who has trouble navigating the stairs up. Not from physical limitations--but something with depth perception, maybe. So we figured the added traction and different sight line may help her. Makes me think these could be helpful for kitties and dogs with mobility issues. I had used tread tape for some cat stairs and climbers for my ancient arthritic cat (RIP), and this easily could have been cut and used for help in his situation too.All these areas get used A LOT. These thin, unassuming, felt like treads have been holding up very well. No lifting at edges, no budging. They are semi smooth, but they add solid traction. If (when) I were doing my larger traditional staircase in my home I may want a more carpet like look, or something with maybe a more stand out look, but for all the uses I have come up with for this pack has exceeded my expectations.I am sure there are more uses for these that I havent imagined yet. I think the fact that they are thin, basic, but effective give them a more multi purpose used to them over a loftier carpet tread. So, they have stuck to painted wood, painted composite, tiled stairs. Have stuck on when temps were cold, as well as room temp.

Looks good and installs easily.
Washed the stairs down real good, layed them down from the center out. They have not moved in 4 dayswith constant usage from 4 adults and 3 kids. I even peel one up and layed it down again to test it out after a few days. Time will tell but it looks real good now, NO nothing to hold them down. I am a believer so far.

Great tread for pets and stairs
I love that it blends with my stairs. I don’t like that after a few weeks it started to fray on the edges. Holds dog hair so I have to use my large lint roller every other day when I sweep the stairs. Overall, love it but more maintenance than I anticipated.

Great for traction and looks fine.
I had the sandpaper strips on my steps, but they didn’t clean up at all! The carpet strips were easy to vacuum and my older dog gets the traction she needs to get up the steps. After about one year they are still great, only one small spot lifting.

Functional
Bought them to use on a side staircase to help my elderly dog navigate after watching her slip. They are not the prettiest and seem to be made of a felt material. All in all, very functional and my dog has much better grip. Would purchase again.

Sticking
The product does not stick! They are all coming up and one got stuck to my dogs paw and he fell down the stairs

Easy to install, wonderful for dogs
We purchased these after our elderly dog slipped down the stairs. (He's okay.) They were very easy to install and forgiving, you can move them if you make mistakes. They hold their grip very well and help animals and people navigate slippery wooden stairs safely. So far (it's been about two months) we are very happy with these.

Can't beat the price
I got these because my steps are just plywood painted steps and I hate them so much but when I got the brown ones and put them down it makes the stairs look so much better. They are easy to vacuum since you can just take them all off with ease and use you sweeper attachment. I wipe my stairs down really well and let them dry and then lay the treads back down. In between the vacuuming and all of that sometimes I have to adjust some of them because they do get moved but I think it's because of my dog who runs up and down them so fast lol. I'm actually needing a few outdoor treads so I'm going to check with the company and see if they sell those as well. I'd buy them again for sure
