Sunline63038904 200-Yards Super FC Sniper Terminal Tackle, Clear Finish

I really don't want to like this line due to the price, but it's really good overall. I was using it on a M power F action rod to fish light flipping jigs the other day, hooked a tree, and managed to pull the jig free instead of breaking it off after paddling over the snag in my kayak. Yeah that's pretty good. Caught a couple 2-3lb bass, nothing huge, but so far I'm impressed with the 8lb test. I've been using 12lb on my crankbait rod for a while and it's been quite good as well. I've been using Palomar knots to tie on lures, and the knot strength has been very good.Update: I did run into an issue with the 8lb test. On a Daiwa Tatula CT-R, I managed to catch it between the spool and the reel body. Not the lines fault, but I'm going to need to go up to 10lb at a minimum on that rig. The 8lb appears to have just a bit more memory than the heavier pound lines as well. I'd still recommend it, but for baitcasters only on one rated for lighter lines. I've had similar diameter braid on the same reel no issue, but it's a little stiffer and courser so that makes sense.

Line is manually wound on spool, so who knows if there’s twist? I will not buy bulk line again on Amazon. I am not the first poster pointing this out. Whether it’s actually as advertised I cannot say.

Spool has no brand markings and limited indication that it is actually Sunline FC Sniper. I have my doubts that it is authentic as I don’t think Sunline would sell unbranded line spools. I will give it a try and see how it works.

Sunline Sniper and Seaguar Abrazx are my favorite flourocarbon lines to date, and for baitcasters I rate them both at 5 stars. But... the 7 lb Sunline hasn't worked out so well on my or my wife's spinning reels. Weird random line twists and birdsnests resulting in knots. Even stranger is that the line shows almost zero memory coming off of either spool. On my wife's reel this actually happened on the second cast. On my setup I had to cut the line twice in the first day of using this flouro and this was while using Tokyo rigs assembled with swivels. The spools were also treated with line conditioner twice before use, so I'm at a loss as to the cause. I'm going to try spooling both reels out behind the boat with weight attached to see of it helps. If it doesn't, it's pretty expensive line to put up with cheap line type problems.

So far I'm disappointed It has a lot of memory and will not work on a spinning reel . I'm having problems with knots breaking and I'v never had a problem with knots before I tie a 100% knot that never breaks until I got this stuff. It's rough spooled and makes the line weak everywhere it's wrapped over it self . Getting ready to take all the line off and toss it. I was exspecting better quality. Maybe I just got a bad spool but will not tack a chance and order any more I'll stick with another brand that I know.

people really rant and rave about this line. Its not bad line you can easily feel the hits with it but the price is pretty high! knots held up well but its not the best line for casting on a baitcaster or spinning reel it is a little stiff and I know not to over fill the spool and use a line conditioner. I will probably stick to mono it's much cheaper and does a pretty good job! If I was going to use fluoro I would probably use seguar I think its a little less stiff. I always thought fluoro had less stretch than mono but that's not true look online you can view the results for both types of line you will be surprised like I was. Again I'm not nocking this line It's just not for me the price is just to high for me I like gamma and ande back country lines these two monos are very tough and come in bulk spools for a pretty good price. Great knot strength and not much stretch. They also come in highly visible line if that's for you it is for me. I catch a lot of fish on mono its only draw back it doesn't sink like fluoro so it is your choice!

This line had several defective nicks/kinks in the first 100 yards off the spool. Fortunately, I could feel and recognize it before using it. The last 100 yards of line on the spool were fine, however. But at this price, I suggest looking elsewhere for quality fishing line. I intend to email the manufacturer the label IJo41792, about their defects. For the most expensive line I ever bought, a big disappointment. It would never land a nice fish or shake loose from a snag before breaking. Fools me once...

I don't know why but this line is just not working for me. I expected it to be magic especially for the price and all the positive feedback. It has really high memory causing lots of backlashes because the line has memory of the previous retrieve making little bumps stick up sometimes. I wanted to like it but for the price Berkley Vanish will give you the same or even better performance.

Limp line with relatively low memory. Excellent abrasion resistance while still remaining supple. The only better flying from sunline is shooter, however the price vs performance for sniper makes it my go to. I'm a semi serious bass angler, I have to pay for my own gear, and in my experience this line is about the best you can get at a reasonable price.

I used this line in a tournament recently, I tie leaders to my braid in everything I di but never had confidence in fluorocarbon like I do braid..until now. . I was impressed with the diameter and strength of the 12lb fluorocarbon. I caught a huge catfish while fishing a bass tourney. The thing was half the size of my kayak, my rod was bent in half but the fluorocarbon held up to that beast. I'm impressed.
