Pretty basic motion-detector warning device. Because of the PIR there's no way to set range: it's either full on or full off. That works fine for many things but not for others. The range of the PIR also seems to vary a bit but it does perform fine in the half-to-one-meter range. Setting a new recording was simple, as long as the user has access to a program that can record a .wav or .mp3 file.

Runs well on batteries, I’ve had mine for 6 months of constant use and it still works fine.mp3 audio files are easy to load with USB cable and need to be numbered in the file name so it can play them in order.6 MONTHS LATER-- had issues with it not working sometimes and decided to reformat the hard drive. Now it completely doesn't work.

After one month and five days it just quit working. The batteries were not the problem.

Didn't work but for a short time before failing

This is a really cool mini PIR motion sensor. It's really easy to upload MP3s too. I wish it were a lot louder and that PIR was adjustable in direction and sensitivity. I've modified it and added my own audio out port and Amplified it myself.

This worked okay, but lasted less than 6 months. Can't find any way to contact seller or even see if it can be returned.

There is no guidance to help with this process. This is incredibly frustrating.

The media could not be loaded.  Arrived in two days. Installed 3 AA batteries and unit worked right away. Came with "applause" sound installed. Used supplied usb cable and loaded a laugh track mp3 file ( can also be .wav). Turned on and new sound plays. Seems well built, unit is not weather proof. Already can see lots of uses for it other than the doorbell Welcome. Activated at distance of ..5m to about 5 metres.

1. No instructions in the box. 2. On the website it says to just plug in to USB port on laptop. I double checked the batteries. It doesn't work and the refund time has expired because I didn't need to use it. Very disappointed in this purchase.
